Integrative and Relational Counsellor
Welcome
Taking the first step into therapy can be intimidating, and the relationship with a therapist is unlike any other.
It is essential that you find someone with whom you can feel safe. I am here to help make that transition as easy, comfortable and rewarding as possible.
I work with individual adults to help explore problems, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, low self-esteem, developmental trauma, relationship issues, codependency, grief/loss and myriad other issues.
Frequently these problems are deep-rooted, and we must look back before we can move forward. This can be a scary and painful process. However, a safe therapeutic environment can make it a profound and enlightening experience.
Together we can help you develop a deeper relationship with yourself and others.
About Me
My name is Vincent (he/him). I am a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from The Minster Centre, a leading Counselling and Psychotherapy training institute. I am currently studying for an MA with The Minster Centre and Middlesex University in Integrative Psychotherapy.
I have valuable experience in supporting individuals to free themselves from compulsive sexual behaviours and other relationship difficulties. In the past, I offered support to individuals affected by or living with HIV at Positive East and Body & Soul Charity.
I am bilingual, and I practice in French and English.
My Approach
My practice draws from a range of therapeutic methods and theories to develop a way of working that suits individual needs.
My approach draws on psychodynamic, attachment-based, person-centred, existential and body psychotherapies to work with the "here and now" and consider how the past affects and influences the present.
I am inspired by the link between the mind and the body. I integrate the physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of our identity and bring them into the therapy process.
Working Together
Working with me will be an opportunity to use open and honest dialogue to explore issues responsible for various forms of distress. I aim to identify and understand how these stressors impact your life, from facing a significant crisis to dealing with an extended period of anxiety or depression. Clients come to me needing support in coping with significant life transitions, dealing with complicated family dynamics, grappling with relationship problems, or wanting to make changes to foster better mental and emotional health.
