Integrative and Relational Counsellor
Welcome
Stepping into therapy is a significant decision, and finding the right person to talk to is key. I aim to make that initial step as comfortable and supportive as possible, helping you feel safe and understood from the very beginning.
I work with adults who are navigating a wide range of challenges. Perhaps you're struggling with anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. You might be facing relationship difficulties, grappling with substance abuse, or exploring aspects of your sexuality. Many also seek support for ADHD, codependency, or for processing developmental trauma or grief. The issues we carry are often deeply rooted, and while looking back can feel daunting, doing so in a safe and supportive space can be incredibly profound and enlightening.
Together, we'll aim to create an environment where you can openly explore these concerns. My focus is on helping you build a deeper, more authentic relationship with yourself and others, paving the way for lasting positive change.
About Me
My name is Vincent (he/him), and I'm a qualified integrative counsellor. I earned my Diploma in Integrative Counselling from The Minster Centre, a highly regarded training institute
I have valuable experience helping individuals address compulsive sexual behaviours and navigate relationship difficulties. My past work includes providing support to individuals affected by or living with HIV at Positive East, and leading workshops on related topics at Body & Soul Charity. My practice is inclusive, welcoming all individuals from diverse cultures, genders, sexualities, religions, and faiths, and I'm proud to be an LGBTQIA+ friendly therapist. I also offer therapy in both English and French.
My Approach
I am an Integrative and Relational Counsellor, which means I tailor my approach to your unique needs. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution but a collaborative journey built on connection.
Being "Relational" means that I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work. Because we are fundamentally relational beings, healing and growth often happen within a safe, trusting, and authentic connection.
My "Integrative" approach then draws from a rich tapestry of therapeutic methods and theories to create a way of working that suits you. Rather than sticking to one rigid school of thought, I thoughtfully blend insights from the theories below.
Working Together
When we work together, you'll find an opportunity for open and honest dialogue to explore what's causing your distress. I'll help you identify how these stressors impact your life. Many clients come to me for support with significant life transitions, complicated family dynamics, relationship challenges, bereavement, or a desire to improve their overall mental and emotional well-being.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship we create is foundational.
